Since Super Junior’s (Abbreviated SJ from now on) discography, awards, and member list are all SO LONG, I’ve split it up over two sections. For the member profiles and awards see Part 2.
Super Junior is the largest dance group in the world with 13 members. The initial concept of the group was to be a rotational one. In the beginning there were only 12 members, 6 “Graduates” and 6 “Undergraduates”. With each album the 6 Graduates would leave, the Undergraduates would become Graduates, and a new generation of Undergraduates would move in. Super Junior 05 would be followed by the Generation Super Junior 06 and so on.
The group cried over this on several programs, about how they had trained together and would eventually have to leave one another. As the day drew near, and the new Undergraduate members were chosen, SM Entertainment decided to pull a fast one. They added 13th member Kyuhyun and announced they were sealing the group, with no further generations. Super Junior 05 dropped the name and just became Super Junior. Since then they have taken control of the music scene in Asia.
Super Junior has the largest fanclub in the world with over 1,000,000 registered members. They are known as E.L.F., which stands for Ever Lasting Friends, are are known for being highly organized. On member birthdays or special occasions, ELF will send large amounts of gifts to the members. Several members expressed a wish to help others, and for those members birthdays ELF makes donations or helps with community service. Recently ELF made a large donation to UNICEF in Super Junior’s name.
ELF split along the battle lines of Don’t Don into two main groups. Only 13 believe that Super Junior can only exist as 13 members, no more and no less. They became a strong force against Guest-Member Henry, who later debuted in Super Junior- M. Only 13 are known as an anti-fan group to Super Junior- M, and have caused a great strain on Super Junior with their protests of Henry and fellow SJM member Zhou Mi. The other side of the line in Only 15 or Forever 15. This group pushes for the addition of Henry and Zhou Mi to Super Junior and supports the two with the group. Each branch of ELF does not acknowledge the other as true fans for various reasons. For more on this, see “Rant #1- Only 13 Controversy”.
Super Junior 05- TWINS
This album was SJ’s debut album. It was also the only album they recorded as the group “Super Junior 05”. It was intended when they formed that with each album 6 members would leave the group and 6 new members would be introduced, making it a rotational group. Super Junior 05 would be followed by Super Junior 06 and so on.
~~This song was second in the promotions for “TWINS”. During it’s performance Super Junior’s popularity increased sharply.
2) TWINS (Knock Out)
~~This is Super Junior’s debut song, first performed in November of 2005. It is a Korean cover of a British song called “Knock Out”, the Korean lyrics were written by the legendary songwriter Yoo Young Jin.
3) You are the One
4) Rock this House
5) 차근차근 (Way for love)
6) So I
8] Keep in Touch
~~The lyrics for this song were written by member Heechul, it is the only song he has written for SJ so far.
11) TWINS (Knock Out) [Instrumental]
Just after announcing the 6 members who would be leaving Super Junior and the new members who would be introduced, SM Entertainment decided instead to add just one member to Super Junior and remove the suffix “05”, moving them from the status of a “Project Group” (to which changes can still be made) to a regular group (no major changes anymore). The new member Kyuhyun is one of SJ’s lead singers.
~~This is SJ’s first major hit song. It earned them their first weekly performance award since debut and also won them numerous “Best New Group” awards. It was choreographed by member Shindong.
2) Endless Moment
~~This song was performed live rarely. The only version I’ve seen was performed with only 11 members, as Donghae was at his father’s funeral and Heechul was in the hospital after a car accident.
3) Lovely Day
This second full-length album was delayed twice due to car accidents. The first delay came when member Heechul was severely injured when he lost control of his car on the way to fellow member Donghae’s father’s funeral. He broke his femur (resulting in an iron rod being placed alongside the bone) and nearly bit his tongue in half trying to stop himself from passing out. A second accident a few months later put members Eunhyuk, Shindong, Leeteuk, and Kyuhyun in the hospital. Leeteuk received 170 stitches in his back and forehead, and Kyuhyun was severely injured, having fractured his hip, broken ribs, and punctured a lung among other injuries. 5 months later he managed to comeback with SJ, though he could only be on stage less than 1 minute of each performance.
1) 돈 돈! (Don’t Don)
~~This song featured Guest Member Henry, a violin player who also danced. He was included in almost every live performance and stood on stage with Super Junior when they accepted weekly awards. His presence caused a great controversy (See Rant #1- Only 13 controversy). The song is considered one of SJ’s most popular.
2) 소원이 있나요 (Sapphire Blue)
~~This song was written specifically for the fans of SJ, Sapphire Blue being the official fan club color (Fan club colors are waved by fans at performances)
3) You’re My Endless Love (말하자면)
4) 미워 (Hate U, Love U)
~~Member Ryeowook picked this song as his favorite for the Don’t Don album. It was the last song to be recorded by member Kyuhyun. He did not record it due to his car accident, and a new version was recorded that did not include him. When he decided to make his comeback despite his injuries the song was again re-recorded.
5) Disco Drive
6) Marry U
~~The second song from the Don’t Don promotions. SJ is the first idol group to ever release a song of this nature, and it is still popular to sing at weddings.
7) I Am
~~The lyrics to this were written by Leeteuk, Sungmin, Eunhyuk, and Donghae
8] 사랑이 떠나다 (She’s gone)
9) Missin’ U
~~This was written by the same songwriter responsible for the hit song U
10) 거울 (Mirror)
11) 우리들의 사랑 (Our Love)
12) Midnight Fantasy
13) Thank You
14) 아주 먼 옛날 (Song for you)
1) 돈 돈! (Don’t Don)
2) 소원이 있나요 (Sapphire Blue)
3) You’re My Endless Love (말하자면)
4) Marry U (New Version)
5) 갈증 (A Man In Love)
6) Disco Drive
7) 미워 (Hate U, Love U)
8] I Am
9) 사랑이 떠나다 (She’s gone)
10) 마지막 승부 (The girl is mine)
11) 거울 (Mirror)
12) 우리들의 사랑 (Our Love)
13) Missin’ U
14) Midnight Fantasy
15) Thank You
16) 갈증 (A Man In Love) [Remix]
~~The Remix has actually been performed far more than the original song. It is performed at every Super Show concert. Due to the hard dance steps member Kyuhyun refrains from dancing this song, as it would aggravate his old injuries. He is brought up from beneath the stage during his solo and then returned.
17) 아주 먼 옛날 (Song for you)
18] Marry U [Japanese Version]
Super Show Tour Live CD
After Don’t Don, Super Junior began a year long tour of Asia with their Super Show concert, their first solo live show. It was performed 10 times in a total of 3 countries. The group admitted that 6 songs from the tour were lipsynched, a very low number considering that 36 songs were performed in total.
1) Welcome to S.J. World
2) TWINS (Knock Out)
3) Intro + Rock this House
4) Intro + Don’t Don
5) Asian Freak Show
6) A Man in Love
8] Ment #1
~~During this time members introduced themselves onstage
9) She’s Gone
10) You’re My Endless Love
11) Dancing Out
12) The Night Chicago Died
~~This Korean cover of the song was performed by Super Junior- K.R.Y., the lead singing trio of SJ, consisting of Kyuhyun, Ryeowook, and Yesung
13) My Everything
~~This cover of the 98 Degrees song was performed in English by member Donghae and dedicated to his deceased father

~~This was performed as a duet between leader Leeteuk and SJ’s official lead singer Yesung
16) 걸음을 멈추고
~~This song was performed by SJ- K.R.Y.
~~This was performed mainly by member Kang-In, with Leeteuk and Shindong accompanying. Members Sungmin and Siwon played guitar and drums respectively with the song.
~~The most popular song of Super Junior- T, this is still performed at live concerts, even though Super Junior-T was scrapped in favor of Super Junior- H
2) First Express
~~Another song performed only by members of Super Junior- T
3) Don’t Go Away
~~Super Junior T’s final performance in the Super Show 1 tour
~~This was an OST (theme song) Super Junior sang for a television show of the same name
5) One Love
~~This song is mostly a rap performed by member Eunhyuk. He is accompanied by Super Junior- K.R.Y. The song was released with clips of the concert for SJ’s official concert Music Video
6) Hate U, Love U
7) Ment #2
~~Here SJ turned the microphones back on the audience, asking them to sing “Marry U” for the members (ELF, Super Junior’s fan club, had claimed the song and it has become a symbol of SJ and ELF)
8] Marry U
~~At the halfway point in this song SJ members returned to the microphones from their seats onstage and finished the song. Only a few members made it to the end of the song, as the others were crying too hard.
~~This cover is done entirely in english. Each member also picked a costume to perform in, resulting in a Vampire, Demon, Clown, Prince, Captain, Harry Potter, Jack Sparrow, Japanese cartoon character, Fred Flintstone, Bruce Lee, Peter Pan, and Zorro on stage. SJ also changed the choreography so that the fans could do it with them (introduced by a video before the performance)
10) Wonder Boy
~~This is the concert version of the theme song from their movie “Attack on the Pin-Up Boys”
11) First Snow
12) Ment #3
~~This Ment was SJ’s time to say thank you to the fans for attending before the finale songs were performed
13) The Girl is Mine
15) Full of Happiness
~~This song was released by 12 members of SJ while Kyuhyun recovered from the accident. It was a way to continue promotions while delaying the 2nd album’s release for Kyuhyun’s return. It is a remake of labelmate H.O.T.’s famous song.
16) Way for Love
19) One Love (Studio Version)
So far this is the best-selling album SJ has released (though their latest album Bonamana is quickly catching up). It’s title song remained in the #1 spot on Taiwanese music charts for 37 weeks in a row (it dropped down to #2 under Super Junior- M’s “SuperGirl”). This song also earned SJ 13 consecutive weeks at the top of the Korean song charts. This is also the first album which did not include all members of Super Junior, as member Kibum first took a leave for personal reasons then to pursue his acting career.
1) Sorry, Sorry
~~Another song composed by Yoo Youngjin, the widely respected songwriter who works exclusively for SM Entertainment
2) 니가 좋은 이유 (Why I like you)
~~This song was performed on some music programs during the comeback period

~~ This song features Lee YeonHee, a popular Korean actress
10) Happy Together
11) 죽어있는 것 (Dead at heart)
12) Shining Star
Version B was simply the CD plus a DVD, so I will not include it here
I will just put the songs which are different from Version A here
1) Sorry, Sorry
2) 그녀는 위험해 (She Wants It)
3) 너라고 (It’s You)
~~This was the main song for the second half of Sorry Sorry promotions. It also topped the charts and the MV became widely popular.
4) 사랑이 죽는 병 (Love Disease)
5) 첫번째 이야기 (Love U More)
~~This upbeat and cute song was composed by SJ member Ryeowook, and the lyrics were co-written with member Sungmin. It is the first solo composition of Ryeowook’s to be included in an album.
Super Show 2 Tour Live CD
The Super Show 2 was performed 19 times in 6 countries. Later shows faced difficulties with the absence first of member Kangin and later of Hangeng. Fan chants in support of Hangeng and against Super Junior- M members during the Shanghai leg of the tour disrupted a performance. When chanting continued during the final bow (at which time the two Super Junior M members Henry and ZhouMi were brought on stage) member Siwon took a microphone and shouted for everyone to be silent. Members Heechul and Shindong then started chants for ZhouMi and Henry respectively, bringing tears to ZhouMi and resulting in member Henry’s first response to Only 13 protestors.
1) A Man in Love
3) It’s You (Rearranged)
4) She Wants It
6) Miracle (Rearranged)
7) Disco Drive (Rearranged)
8] Dancing Out (Rearranged)
9) Baby Baby
~~This was a solo performed by member Sungmin
~~This was another solo, performed by member Heechul. After the Korean shows Heechul changed to “Temptation of Sonata” featuring Eunhyuk in the rap, Ryeowook on keyboards, and SJM member Henry on violin.
~~This is a solo by member Donghae, who also wrote, composed, and choreographed the song. He performed it with member Eunhyuk.
~~This was a solo by lead singer Yesung
~~The Korean version of this song (sung by Wheesung) gained great popularity. Ryeowook performed the english version along with a powerful dance. He says this song was chosen because he wanted to give a sexy image rather than the slow and cute image he usually is credited with.
14) Nyeonkanui Sarang (7 Years of Love)
~~Kyuhyun sang this as a solo. This is a cover of an older song. The original artist worked on the Sorry Sorry album (he wrote Shining Star). When he heard Kyuhyun sing he arranged for Kyuhyun to do a cover of his song on an anniversary album.
15) What If
~~This is a cover sung by Leeteuk
18] Doc wa Chumeul + Run to You
~~This has the same feel as Kangin’s performance from Super Show 1, it is an upbeat song.
19) Don’t Don
~~Don’t Don was featured with new choreography, creating the story of a gang war between Gang Eunhyuk and Gang Donghae, Henry still performed his violin solo.
20) TWINS (Knock Out)
1) Our Love (Rearranged)
2) Who Am I
~~This popular christian song was originally sung by the group Counting Crows. Siwon did an english cover of the song with other SJ members providing background vocals.
3) At Least I Still Have You
~~Super Junior M performed the Korean version of this song in the Super Show 2 tour
~~Super Junior M also performed this song. As the Super Show 2 tour began before the release of “SuperGirl”, this song was performed until said album made it’s debut.
5) Shining Star (Rearranged)
6) Sorry Sorry- Remix
~~Over the course of the tour two other remixed versions of Sorry Sorry were performed, mixing together lyrics from “It’s You” with the original song.
~~Super Junior- T made their comeback with this song, despite the group being technically disbanded.
~~Super Junior T’s most popular song
~~Super Junior members were made to audition for this song by member Heechul. He picked 9 members (including himself) to reflect members of Super Junior’s sister group SNSD. Each member had to train under an SNSD member for a day to learn their member well. Most SJ members dressed in drag for this song. Later on in the Super Show 2 tour they performed “Chu~” as well, originally performed by their other sister group F(x).
10) Sunny (Rearranged)
~~This song was written for Super Junior H, but was performed by all members
11) Pajama Party (Rearranged)
~~Another Super Junior H song which was performed by all SJ members
~~For this song Super Junior members each chose an animal to represent on stage. The members wore large hats with the animal’s image on it.
13) Sapphire Blue
14) Marry U
15) Sorry Sorry [Answer] (Studio Version)
~~Super Junior KRY was originally supposed to sing this R&B cover of the original hit song. However, they chose to sing it with all members of SJ. It was shown as part of a VCR at the concert and gained immense popularity, leading to a full Music Video release.
16) Sorry Sorry [Remix] (Studio Version)
17) It’s You (Rearranged) (Studio Version)
18] Puff the Magic Dragon (Studio Version)
~~In keeping with the animal theme of Carnival, SJ member Kyuhyun sang this english song while other members acted out the story of Puff the Magic Dragon behind him. In later performances members took this time to also pick on Kyuhyun ranging from taking his microphone and singing a little to poking his throat and neck during high notes. He also performed the song once doing sit-ups on stage.
19) Shining Star (Rearranged) [Studio Version]
This is Super Junior’s most recent album. The pre-order sales the week after it was announced matched the album sales during the promotions of “U” and “TWINS (Knock Out)” combined, and have already launched them to the top of the charts in terms of album sales. It is the first Super Junior CD to only feature 10 members. Member Kibum is still focusing on acting, member Hangeng is in a lawsuit with SM Entertainment, and member Kangin is taking a two year hiatus from Super Junior to complete mandatory military service required under Korean law of all men. He is the first member to enter the army. There was a small scandal with the album as in his “Thanks To” section member Shindong proposed to his girlfriend, a non-celebrity who he had kept a secret.
1) 미인아 (BONAMANA)
~~Super Junior made their comeback with this song and within a week had topped music charts.
2) 나쁜 여자 (Boom Boom)
~~This song is performed by SJ along with Bonamana. It was choreographed by members Eunhuk and Shindong.
3) 응결 (Coagulation)
~~The car accident of 2007 postponed the release of Super Junior- K.R.Y.’s album indefinitely. This song was therefore released (finally) in this CD.
4) 나란 사람 (Your Eyes)
~~This is a duet by members Kyuhyun and Yesung
5) My Only Girl
6) 사랑이 이렇게 (My All Is In You)
~~This song was originally supposed to be on Super Junior- M’s album (delayed due to leader Hangeng’s legal dispute with SM Entertainment). It was moved to Bonamana as they felt it matched SJ’s style more.
7) Shake it Up!
~~Members of SJ have named this as one of their favorite songs on the CD and have mentioned that they have been requesting SM Entertainment make it the main song for the second half of their promotions.
8] 잠들고 싶어 (In My Dream)
9) 봄날 (One Fine Spring Day)
~~This is a solo by member Ryeowook
10) 좋은 사람 (Good Person)
11) Here We Go
Bonamana Version C
2) No Other
~~This is Super Junior’s current promotion song, it is already wining awards. The lyrics were written by Don’t Don writer Kenzie
3) Shake It Up! (Remix)
4) All My Heart
~~This song was composed by Leeteuk with Super Junior- M’s Henry, the lyrics are also by the duo (I personally love it!)
5) A Short Journey
~~This song was composed by Donghae with lyrics by Eunhyuk. Much of the verse is sung by member Kangin, who is taking a two year break from Super Junior to complete his mandatory military services. Members revealed many of them cried during recording.
**All other songs beyond this follow the order in Versions A and B**
So that takes care of the discography! Yay! For the member list and awards list, see Part 2! And I’d like to take this space to send a cyber-hug to wikipedia.
