Big Bang Theory- Season 1

This is a completely brilliant show and I absolutely LOVE it!

Plot: 5/5
This is a fresh comedy! The jokes are witty and some take a bit of education to understand, and if you don’t there is always Penny, the show’s point-of-view character who always needs the physics stuff explained to her. I’ll copy the show description below, since I have the DVD for season 1 right in front of me now ^^

Physicists Leonard and Sheldon understand everything from the inescapable gravital pull of a black hole to the intricate structure of the atom. But take those atoms and assemble them into a woman, and their comprehension comes to a grinding halt. And when Penny, a woman with all those atoms in all the right places, moves in across the hall, Leonard and Sheldon’s universe begins to expand in ways they never could have imagined.

We all have to face the facts one day- the half an hour sitcom (at least the good ones) are coming to an end in favor of longer programming. Big Bang Theory is a jump back to old filming styles and times, you’d even think it was filmed before a live studio audience (minus the laugh track).

L-R: Kunal Nayyar (Raj); Johnny Galecki (Leonard); Kaley Cuoco (Penny); Jim Parsons (Sheldon); and Simon Helberg (Howard)

Acting: 5/5
Each of the show’s main leads are beyond amazing. Johnny Galecki and Jim Parsons are an unbelievable match as Leonard and Sheldon (respectively). They make you love and hate the characters as needed, and are adorable. Kaley Cuoco plays Penny perfectly and is perhaps her best role yet. Simon Helberg and Kunal Nayyar play Leonard and Sheldon’s friends Howard and Raj respectively, bringing a comedic undercurrent to the entire thing.

Overall I can’t say enough good things about this show. There isn’t a single episode I wouldn’t watch five more times, from any season. Everyone I know who has seen even a single episode has been pulled in, of any age. This is my highest recommended English show, and is currently my highest recommended show in any language.
If you’re unfortunate in life and have never seen this show, go buy the disk (you can’t find these episodes on YouTube), I promise they will be worth the money. I absolutely love this show!!!
