Too Late- Co-Ed School

I rushed the full lyrics so I could review this ^^

Lyrics
This song is kind of fascinating to me. Co-Ed School is a new group (probably going for Idol Group status by the looks of it) and as you can tell from the name they’re a mixed group. This song is a fight between the girls and the guys. In it the girls accuse the guys of cheating and tell them it’s too late for the relationship, everything is over. The guys say they only cheated once and ask for a second chance. This is really the first song of it’s kind I’ve heard outside of musicals: an actual fight argue-and-response format.  When you listen don’t take the verses together, separate them by sex, and then the song will make sense. In the chorus cut below I’ll try to separate it so that the first verse is the girls, the second is the guys, and so on.
Too late, it’s too late/ too late, it’s not late yet/ too late, stay out of my sight/ right now right now right now/ from head to toe, from 1 to 10, it’s all lies/ you still don’t know men/ from head to toe, from 1 to 10, it’s all lies/ don’t look for me again

Dance
The dancing here is very strong. The girls dance tends to be more sexy. For the most part they have the same steps, but the group separates for much of the dance. I’m not sure if that is just for the song, or if it is how they’re going to be running things- keeping the stage pretty divided for much of the song.

Story
There’s something here, but it’s American style: at the beginning and end with nothing to do with the story in the middle. I honestly can’t figure out the beginning or end… The set is, for much of the song, a narrow alleyway. I don’t think this was a very good idea… You don’t get the exposure of all the members. Plus early on you see only the best dancers, so it’s hard to tell how many members there are. The design looks great, don’t get me wrong, but it doesn’t work with a group this large.

Other Things
Something I thought was cool was the costumes early on in the MV (after the song actually starts to play). The clothing gives off puffs of dust with the harder steps (no doubt this is CGI). It looks pretty cool~

I don’t have much to say on this. I’m not sure if this was a good or bad debut song for the group, I’ll address that separately though.
